Court of Elders' Judgment in the matter of Scott Smith v Christianna Renae Byrd and Grant Easter

This is the formal findings and judgment of a Beit Din — a House of Judgment — convened under the authority of Scripture for the adjudication of a matter of righteousness among the brethren. AUTHORITY OF THIS PANEL This Beit Din was convened under the authority of Scripture, which appoints elders to judge matters among the people of YHWH and forbids the brethren from taking such matters before the world: "You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns [gates] which [YHWH] your Elohim is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment." — Deuteronomy 16:18 "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private… But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed." — Matthew 18:15–16 "Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?" — 1 Corinthians 6:1 CONSENT OF THE PARTIES All three parties — Scott Smith, Christianna Renae Byrd, and Grant Easter — were notified, given full opportunity to appear, to testify, to bring witnesses, and to submit evidence. Each party consented to the jurisdiction of this Beit Din and submitted to its proceedings.
