Privacy Policy

BibleMarriages is a reader-supported, ad-free teaching site. We collect as little information as we can, we host our own email list and analytics so your data stays in our hands, and we never sell or rent your information. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you subscribe to the newsletter. It is stored on our own self-hosted email system, not a third-party marketing service. Subscriptions use double opt-in (you confirm by email), and every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics — we use cookieless, self-hosted analytics and a privacy-focused analytics service to understand how many people visit and which teaching is read. This is reported in aggregate and is not used to build advertising profiles of you.
• Donation details— when you give by card, payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout. Your card number never reaches our servers. When you give with Bitcoin, the transaction is recorded on the public blockchain by its nature; we only generate a receiving address.
• Basic server logs — like any website, our server records standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. These are kept only briefly.

Cookies and local storage

We keep this minimal. Your browser stores your theme preference (light or dark). Our analytics are cookieless. Embedded media players (YouTube, Rumble, Spotify) and the Scripture-reference tooltip may set their own cookies when you interact with them, under their own privacy policies.

Third parties

We rely on a few services to operate, and only share what each needs to do its job:

• Stripe processes card donations under Stripe's privacy policy.
• Faithlife RefTagger powers the Scripture-reference tooltips by loading a small script.
• Embedded players (YouTube, Rumble, Spotify) load only when you view that media.

How we use your information

To deliver the newsletter you asked for, to operate and secure the site, and to understand—at an aggregate level—what teaching is helpful. That is all.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not hand our subscriber list to any platform or advertiser.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To ask what we hold about you, or to request that we delete it, just email us at hello@biblemarriages.org.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
